The chosen theme for this year’s Adult Short Story Competition was ‘After Midnight’. Creative minds wanderd, resulting in wonderful, intriguing, and engaging short stories. This year, the entries were of an extremely high standard, making the judges selection very difficult.
The competition was open to all those over 16 years of age. Entry costs were £10 per story, with a first prize of £200, and a second prize of £100.

Rachel Roberts was the 2026 winner with her story: After Midnight. Peter Newman was a very close runner up with his story: Velvet Gloves.
