Join Prof Serena Trowbridge for an interesting and explorative reading group discussion focussing on du Maurier's earliest work.
We will be looking at the stories in the collection, which are dated from before The Loving Spirit through to some written much later in du Maurier’s life. Taken together, they show the development of du Maurier’s storytelling technique, interest in psychology, and her experimentation with characterisation and motivation.
Participants should have read the novel. No further preparation is necessary. Just bring yourself, your copy of the book, and your enthusiasm for Daphne du Maurier! Maximum participants 16.
