Rupert Tower – Between Two Worlds: Inside Daphne du Maurier’s House on the Strand

Saturday 11 May, 11:00am-12:00pm
Fowey Town Hall
£12.00

Daphne du Maurier’s grandson, Jungian analyst, Rupert Tower, will explore Daphne du Maurier’s novel in the context of her inner life preoccupations, including dreaming in time, identity, and loss, together with her continued fascination with the past, ancestry, and power of place. He will also examine her narrative from the psychological perspective of Jungian analytical thinking, ideas of the Collective Unconscious, Dreams, the Mid-life transition, Alchemy and the initiatory journey into the Spirit of the Depths in his Red Book.

Rupert studied psychology, worked in the Arts, and as an applied Social Psychologist and Director of an international qualitative research consultancy prior to becoming a Jungian analyst in mid-life. He is a member of the Society of Analytical Psychology and co-editor of Jung’s Shadow Concept: The Hidden Light and Darkness within Ourselves, published by Routledge in May, 2023. He has also published articles on Social Psychology, Market Research and Jung’s concept of the Shadow in organisations. He works in private practice in Hampstead, London.
