Fowey Young Writers and Artists Competition

Your entries this year should be about The Quay

  • Create a picture, a poem, a story or all three & enter them into the competition.
  • Poems can be up to 20 lines and short stories can be up to 200 words.
  • Poem and story entries should be on A4 paper. Pictures should be on A4 or square (21cm x 21cm) paper or card.
  • The competition is open to young writers & artists up to 16 years old.
  • Closing date is 24th March 2017. Entry is free.
  • Prizes totalling £500 will be presented at the Fowey Festival of Arts & Literature 6th – 13th May 2017.      
  • Winning entries will be displayed in the Fowey Parish Church during the Fowey Festival of Arts & Literature.  
  • First and Second prizes for pictures, poems and stories will be awarded in each of 3 groups: Infant, Junior and Secondary. Writers’ & artists’ ages will be taken into account during judging.

Individual Entries can be posted to 28 Lankelly Lane, Fowey PL23 1HN, or dropped in to Bookends of Fowey, 4 South Street, Fowey, PL23 1AR with an entry form for each picture, poem or story.
